ِﻢﻴﺣِ ﺮﻟﺍ ِﻦﻤﺤﻟﱠﺍ ِﷲﺍ ِﻢﺴِﺑ

 

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH,

 

THE COMPASSIONATE, THE MERCIFUL.

 

.ٍﺏﺂﻣ ﻦﺴﺣ ﻭ ﻢﻬﹶﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ِﺕﺎﺤﻟِﺎﺼﻟﺍ ﺍﻮﹸﻠِﻤﻋ ﻭ ﺍﻮﻨﻣﺁ ﻦﻳﺬﻟﱠﹶﺍ

 

Those who believe and do right’ Joy is for them, and bliss (their) journey’s end.

 

Surah 8; Verse 29: P. 244. The Glorious Qur’an (M. M. Pickthall)

 

«.ﹰﺎﳌﺎﻋ ﹰﺎﻬﻴﻘﻓ ﺔﻣﺎﻴﻘﻟﺍ ﻡﻮﻳ ﷲﺍ ﻪﺜﻌﺑ ﻢﻬﻨﻳﺩ ﺮﻣﺍ ﻦﻣ ﻪﻴﻟﺍ ﻥﻮﺟﺎﺘﳛ ﺎﳑ ﹰﺎﺜﻳﺪﺣ ﲔﻌﺑﺭﺍ ﱵﻣﺍ ﻦﻣ ﻆﻔﺣ ﻦﻣ»

 

The prophet said:

“Whoever of my nation memorizes forty traditions concerning the religious matters of their requirement, God resurrects them on the Day of judgment as

jurisprudent scholars.”

 

:(ﻉ)ﻲﺴﻴﻋ ﻲﹶﻟِﺍ ﻪﺘﻤﹶﻈﻋ ﺖﻠﱠﺟ ﻲﹶﻟﺎﻌﺗ ُﷲﺍ ﻲﺣﻭﹶﺍ

 

ﻲﻣﺎﹸﻟﹾﺍ ﻲِ ﺒِﻨﻟﺍ ﱄﻮﺳﺮِﺑ ﻭ ﰊ ﺍﻮﻨِﻣﺁ ﻢﻫﺮﺒِﺧﺃﹶ ﲔِﻤﹶﻟﺎﻌﻠﹾ ﻟِ ﹰﺔﻳﺁ ٍﻞﺤﹶﻓ ِﺮﻴﹶﻏ ﻦﻣِ

 

ﻚﺘﻘﹾ ﹶﻠﺧ ﻲﻧِﺍ ﻙﺮﺘﺗ ﺎﹶﻟ ﻭ ﻱﺮﻣﺍﹶ ﰲ ﺪﺟِ

 

.ﻪﻣﺎﻳﹶﺍ ﺪِﻬﺷ ﻭ ﻪﻨﻠﻣﺯ ﻙﺭﺩﹶﺍ ﻭ ﻪﻣﺎﻠﹶﻛﹶ

 

ﻊِﻤﺳ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ِﺔﻨﺠﻟﹾﺍ ﻲِﻓ ﻚﻣﹸﺍ ﻊﻣ ﻲِﻫﻭ ﺔﹶﻛﺭﺎﺒﻣ ﻦﻣِ

 

ﻪﹸﻠﺴﻧ

 

Tradition one:

 

God Almighty, the Glorious, the Magnificent revealed unto his eminence, Jesus Christ; peace be upon him:

Strive to execute My Commandments and do no lax it. Lo! I Created you Without a father so that ye may be an exemplar of My portent for the mankind. Transmit this tiding unto them: Bring belief in Me and My messenger – the

unlettered Prophet -whose progeny will be from an honorable Lady by the name of FATIMA ZAHRA, Peace be upon her. This lady and your mother -the Virgin Mary- will be together in the safe lodging of Paradise.

Blessed is he who hears the words of the Seal of the Prophets whole- heartedly, understands his epoch and feels himself a witness of his days.

.ﰊ ﻦﻣﺁ ﻭ ﱐﺮﻳ ﻢﻟﹶ ﻦﻤِﻟ

 

-ﹶﺎﻌﺒﺳ ﺎﻬﹸﻟﻮﹸﻘﻳ– ﰊﻮﻃﹸ

 

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ﻢﺛﹸ ﰊﻮﹸﻃ .ﰊ ﻦﻣﺁ ﻭ ﱐﺁﺭ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

Tradition two:

 

The holy Prophet of God, peace be upon and the members of his household, says:

“Blessed is he who saw me and brought belief in me; blessed, oh truly

blessed (he repeats this seven times) is he who did not see my person and brought belief in me.”

 

(Kisal Bab Al-Sabaa, Vol. 2; P. 342)

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍﺎﻤﻬﻴﻠﻋ ﱯﺘ ﺍ ﻲﻠﻋ ﻦﺑ ﻦﺴﳊﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ُﷲﺍ ﻪﹸﻠﻌﺠﻳ ،ﹰﺎﻌﻴﻄﻣ ِﻪِﻟﺍﻮﺣﺍﹶ ﱢﻞﻛﹸ

 

ﰲ ﹰﺎﻤﻬﻟﹶ ﻭ ﹰﺎﻓﺭِ ﺎﻋ ﺎﻤِﻬﱢﻘﺤِﺑ ﹶﻥﺎﻛﹶ

 

ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻄﻓﹶ

 

ِﺔﻣﹸﺎﻟﹾﺍ ِﻩِﺬﻫ ﺍﻮﺑﹶﺍ ﻲِﻠﻋ ﻭ ﺪﻤﺤﻣ

 

Tradition three:

 

.ِﻪِﻧﺍﻮﺿﺭِ

 

ﻭ ِﻪِﺗﺎﻣﺍﺮﹶﻜِﺑ ﻩﺪﻌﺴﻳ ﻭ ِﻪِﻧﺎﻨﺟِ

 

ِﻥﺎﻜﱠ ﺳ ِﻞﻀﻓﹾ ﹶﺍ ﻦﻣِ

 

His holiness, Imam Hassan Mujtaba, peace be upon him, says:

“Muhammed and Imam Ali are the fathers of this Ummah. So blessed are those who recognize this right for them, and are, in any circumstance, obedient to them.

God Almighty will lodge such a group in paradise and aides them with His

Mercy and Compassion.”

 

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ﻦﻣ ﹸﻝﻭﹶﺍ ﻭ ﻱﺪﻋﻭ ﺰِﺠﻨﻣ ﻭ ﲏﻳﺩ ﻲﺿﺎﹶﻗ ،ﰐﺎﻓﻭ ﺪﻌﺑ ﻭ ﻲِﺗﺎﻴﺣ ﰲ ﻲﻴِﺻﻭ ﻭ ﻱﺪﻌﺑ ﻢﹸﻜﻣﺎﻣﺍِ

 

ﻲِﻠﻋ ﺍﹶﺬﻫ

 

Tradition four:

 

.ﻪﹶﻟﹶﺬﺧ ﻭ ﻪﻨﻋ ﻒﻠﱠﺧﹶﺎﺗ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﹲﻞﻳﻭ ﻭ ﻩﺮﺼﻧ ﻭ ﻪﻌﺒﺗﺍ ِﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻄﹶﻓ ﻲﺿﻮﺣ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ﲏﺤِﻓﺎﺼﻳ

 

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his progeny, said:

“It is this Ali, peace be upon him, who is your Imam and leader after me; and is my inheritor in my days of living and after my death; He Is the payer of my debts, and fulfiller of the promises that I have made. He will be the first person to meet me at the fountain of paradise [i.e; Kawthar]; so, blessed is he who aides and obeys him. And, cursed is he who disobeys or laxes to aid him.”

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻲﻠﻋ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

.ِﻪِﺒﻠﹾ ﹶﻗ ﰲ ِﺖﻴﺒﻟﹾﺍ ﹶﻞﻫﹶﺍ ﺎﻨﺒﺣ ﺦﺳﺭ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﰊﻮﹸﻄﻓﹶ

 

Tradition five:

 

His holiness Imam Ali, peace be upon him, said:

“Blessed is he whose heart is replete with the love for us. [That is the members of the household of the Prophet and his descendants through the line of Imamateship.]”

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍﺪﺒﻋ ﻮﺑﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

Tradition six:

 

His holiness Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him said: “Blessed is he whose mother is a chaste woman.”

 

.ﹰﺔﹶﻔﻴﻔﻋ ﻪﻣﹸﺍ ﺖﻧﺎﻛﹶ

 

ﻦﻤِﻟ ﰊﻮﹸﻃ

 

Explanation: To make the point of this tradition clear we narrate another

 

tradition.

 

.ﻩﺎﺑﹶﺃ ﻦﺨﺗ ﻢﻟﹶ ﺎﻬﻧِﺄﹶﻓ ِﻪﻣﹸﺄِﻟ

 

ﺀَ ﺎﻋﺪﻟﺍ ِﺮِﺜﻜﹾ

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍﺪﺒﻋ ﻮﺑﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ﻴﻠﹾ ﹶﻓ ِﻪِﺒﻠﹾ ﹶﻗ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ﺎﻨِﺘﺒﺤﻣ ﺩﺮﺑ ﺪﺟﻭ ﻦﻣ

 

His holiness Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him is narrated to have said elsewhere:

“He who finds our love in his heart must pray for his mother who has remained faithful to his father.”

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻢﻬﻴﻠﻋ ﺔﻤﺋﻻﺍ ﺓﺭﺎﻳﺯ ﰲ

 

ﻲﻧِﺍ ﻭ ﹰﺍﺪﺒﻋ ﱐﻮﻤﺘﻠﹾ ِﺒﹶﻗ ﹾﻥﺍِ ﱄ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ﻭ ﻢﹸﻛﺪﺒﻋ ﻲﻧﺃ ﻲﺴﹾﻔﻧ ﻭ ﻲﻣﹸﺍ ﻭ ﻢﺘﻧﺍﹶ ﰊﹶﺎِﺑ ﻲﻟِﺍﻮﻣ ﺎﻳ ﻢﻛﹸ ﺪﻬِ ﺷﺍﹸ ﻭ َﷲﺍ ﺪِﻬﺷﹸﺍ

 

.ِﻪِﺑ ﻢﺗﺮﻔﹶ ﻛﹶ

 

ﺎﻤِﺑ ﻭ ﻢﻛﹸ ﻭﺪﻌﺑِ ﺮﻓِﺎﻛﹶ

 

،ِﻪِﺑ ﻢﺘﻨﻣﺁ ﺎﻤِﺑ ﻭ ﻢﻜﹸ ﺑِ ﻦﻣِ ﺆﻣ

 

Tradition seven:

 

In the prayer Book of the Imams, peace be upon them all, it has come that:

“I take Allah my witness and you, the inerrant Imams that I am your servant and bliss for me if you accept my servitude. Verily, I believe in you and your way. And truly I am the enemy of your enemies and all that you forbid.”

Tradition eight:

 

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

.ِﻪِﻘﻠﹾ ﺧ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ِﷲﺍ ﹸﺔﺠﺣ ﻢﺘﻧﺍﹶ ﻢﻛﹸ ﺎﺼﻋ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﹲﻞﻳﻭ ﻢﻜﹸ ﻋﺎﻃﹶ ﺍﹶ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﰊﻮﹸﻃ

 

The holy Prophet, peace be upon him and progeny, said:

“Blessed is he who obeys you and doomed is he who disobeys you. You are the definitive proof of Allah for His Creatures.”

(The holy Prophet of Islam said this to Imam Ali about him and the inerrant

ms, peace be upon them all.)

ﹶﻥﻮﻨﻣِ ﺆﻳ ﻦﻳﺪﻟﺍ ﻭ» ِﻪِﺑﺎﺘﻛِ

 

Tradition nine:

 

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ﰲ ُﷲﺍ ﻢﻬﹶﻔﺻﻭ ﻚِﺌﻟﻭﺍ ﻢِﻬِﺘﺠﺤﻣ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ﲔﻤﻴﻘﻤﹾﻠِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ِﻪِﺘﺒﻴﹶﻏ ﰲ ﻦﻳﺮِﺑﺎﺼﻠِﻟ ﰊﻮﹸﻃ

 

«.ﹶﻥﻮﺤﻠِﻔﹾ ﻤﻟﹾﺍ ﻢﻫ ِﷲﺍ ﺏﺰِﺣ ﱠﻥﺍِ ﺎﹶﻟﹶﺍ ِﷲﺍ ﺏﺰِﺣ ﻚِﺌﻟﻭﺍ» ﹶﻝﺎﻗﹶ ﻭ «ِﺐﻴﻐﻟﺎﺑِ

 

The Messenger of Islam, peace be upon him, said:

“Blessed are those who are patient during the Saviors’ Occultation -Imam Mahdi (blessings be upon him) – and are steadfast in the rightful path of the inerrant Imams.”

These are the ones whom Allah describes as: “Those who believe in the occultation.”

And further emphasizing:

“These are the Hizbullah [i.e, the party of Allah] Know that the people of the party of Allah are felicitous.”

ﻭ ﺎﻨِﻣ ﻚِﺌﻟﻭﹸﺍ ،ﺎﻨِﺋﺍﺪﻋ ﹶﺍ ﻦﻣ ﺓِ ﺀَ ﺍﺮﺒﻟﺍﻭ ﺎﻨِﺗﺎﹶﻟﺍﻮﻣ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ﲔﺘِﺑﺎﺜﹼﻟﺍ ،ﺎﻨِﻤِﺋﺎﻗﹶ

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻢﻇﺎﻜﻟﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ِﺔﺒﻴﹶﻏ ﰲ ﺎﻨِﻠﺒﺤِﺑ ﲔﻜﺴﻤﺘﻤﹾﻟﺍ ﺎﻨِﺘﻌﻴﺸِﻟ ﰊﻮﹸﻃ

 

ﺎﻨﺗﺎﺟﺭﺩ ﰲ ﺎﻨﻌﻣ ِﷲﺍ ﻭ ﻢﻫ ﻭ ﻢﻬﻟﹶ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ﻢﺛﹸ ﻢﻬﻟﹶ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻄﻓﹶ .ﹰﺔﻌﻴﺷ ﻢِﻬﺑ ﺎﻨﻴﺿﺭ ﻭ ﹰﺔﻤِﺋﹶﺍ ﺎﺸﻨِﺑ ﺍﻮﺿﺭ ﺪﻗﹶ .ﻢﻬﻨﻣِ

 

ﻦﺤﻧ

 

Tradition ten:

 

His holiness Imam Musa Kazim, peace be upon him, said:

 

.ِﺔﻣﺎﻴﻘِ ﻟﹾﺍ ﻡﻮﻳ

 

“Blessed are the Shi’as who during the occultation of our savior hold fast to the rope of Imammateship of ours and are unfaltering in our love and abhorring of our enemies. They are from us and we are from them. They are happy and joyful with our leadership [Imammate] and they have our consent. Blessed are they. Blessed indeed they are. By Allah, they will enjoy the same stature and position as we do in the Day of Resurrection.

Tradition eleven:

 

.ﺔِ ﻳﺍﺪِﻬﹾﻟﺍ ﺪﻌﺑ ﻪﺒﻠﹾ ﹶﻗ

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻕﺩﺎﺼﻟﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ﻍﹾ ِﺰﻳ ﻢﹶﻠﹶﻓ ﺎﻨﻤِﺋﺂﻗ ِﺔﺒﻴﹶﻏ ﰲ ﺎﻧِﺮﻣﹶﺎِﺑ ﻚﺴﻤﺗ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

His holiness Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said:

“Blessed is he who in the time of Occultation of our Savior [The Promised Imam Mahdi], abides to the decrees left by us. [The Inerrant Imams]. In this way he will not deviate from the right path after guidance.”

:ﺐﻌﻛ ﻦﺑ ﰊﻻ ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﱯﻨﻟﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

.ِﺔﹶﻜﹶﻠﻬﻟﹾﺍ ﻦِﻣ ﻢﻬِ ﻴﺠﻨﻳ ِﻪِﺑ ﹶﻝﺎﻗﹶ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ﻭ ﻪﺒﺣﹶﺍ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ﻭ ﻪﻴِﻘﹶﻟ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ !ﻲﺑﹸﺍ ﺎﻳ

 

Tradition twelve:

 

The Messenger of Islam, peace and blessings be upon him and his pure

progeny, said to Obayye-ibn- Kaab:

“O! Obayye, blessed is he who meets him – that is Imam Mahdi, the Savior – And blessed is he whose heart is replete with his love; and moreover, blessed is

he who believes in his Imamate [Leadership] as the Saviour. This Imam will relieve such people from falling into perdition.”

Tradition thirteen:

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﺢﻴﺴﳌﺍ ﻆﻋﺍﻮﳌﺍ ﻦﻣ

 

.ﻢﻠﱢﻋ ﺎﻤِﻣ ﹶﻞِﻫﺎﺠﻟﹾﺍ ﻢﻠﱠﻋ ﻭ ﹶﻝِﻪﺟ ﺎﻣ ﺀِ ﺎﻤﹶﻠﻌﹾﻟﺍ ﻦِﻣ ﻢﻠﱠﻌﺗ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

Taken from one of his holiness, Jesus Christ’s admonitions:

Blessed is he who learns from the learned what he does not know and teaches the ignorant what he knows.

 

(Tohaful-Ughul, P. 512)

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﺢﻴﺴﳌﺍ ﻆﻋﺍﻮﻣ ﻦِﻣ

 

ﻭ ﻢﻬﺑﺮﹶﻘﻳ ﻦِﻜﹶﻟ ﻭ ﻢﻫﺩﺮﻄﹾ ﻳ ﺎﹶﻟ ﻭ ﻢِﻬِﻠﻬﺠِﻟ

 

Tradition fourteen:

 

ﻝﹶ ﺎﻬﺠﹾﻟﺍ ﺮﻐﺻ ﻭ ﻢﻬﺘﻋﺯﺎﻨﻣ ﻙﺮﺗ ﻭ ﻢِﻬِﻤﻠﹾ ِﻌِﻟ

 

ﺀَ ﺎﻤﹶﻠﻌﹾﻟﺍ ﻢﻈﱠ ﻋ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

.ﻢﻬﻤﻠﱢﻌﻳ

 

Taken from one of his holiness, Jesus Christ’s admonitions:

Blessed is he who pays tribute to scholars for their knowledge and ceases hostility towards them; as well as despising the ignorants for their ignorance but does not repel them, rather attempts to approach them by trying to make facts clear to them.

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ِﺪِﺟﺎﺴﻤﹾﻟﺍ ﻲﹶﻟﺍِ

 

ﻥﹶ ﻮﹸﻘِﺑﺎﺴﻟﺍ ﻢﻫ ﻭ ﺎﹶﻟﹶﺃ ،ِﺔﻨﺠﻟﺍ ﻲﹶﻟِﺍ ﺱﺎﻨﻟﺍ ﻥﹶ ﻮﹸﻘﺒِﺴﻴﹶﻓ ﺎﻬﻧﻮﹸﻠﻤِ ﺤﻳ ِﺔﻣﺎﻴِﻘﻟﹾﺍ ﻡﻮﻳ ِﺔﻳِﻮﻟﹾﹶﺄﻟﹾﺍ ﺏِ

 

ﺎﺤﺻﹶﺄِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

Tradition fifteen:

 

The messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:

 

.ﺭِ ﺎﺤﺳﹶﺄﹾﻟﺍ ِﺮﻴﹶﻏ ﻭ ِﺭﺎﺤﺳﹶﺄﻟﹾﺎِﺑ

 

“Blessed are the bearers of banners on the day of Doom. They will carry them while overtaking others towards paradise. Know that these are the people who haste towards Mosques in times of prayers.”

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

Tradition sixteen:

 

The messenger of Allah, peace be upon said:

“Know that mosques represent my home on earth. They are like beacons of sparkling light for the dwellers of heaven; just as stars are for the earth dwellers.

Know that blessed are those who frequently attend Mosques”

ﺓِ ﺪﺸﻟﺍ ﻲِﻓ ﻢﻬﻴِﺠﻨﻳ ﹾﻥﺃ َﺀﺎﺟﺭ ﻢﻫِ ﱢﺏﺭ ﻲﹶﻟِﺍ ﹶﻥﻮﻋﺮﻀﺘﻳ ﻢِﻫِﺪِﺟﺎﺴﻣ ﰲ ﻢِﻬِﻠﺟﺭﹶﺍ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ِﻞﻴﻠﱠﻟﺍ ِﺔﻤﻠﹾ ﹸﻇ

 

Tradition seventeen:

 

Taken from his holiness, Jesus Christ’s admonitions:

I tell it to you truthfully: Blessed are those who stay awake all night long in pray. There are those who inherit the eternal light; for they prostrate before the

Almighty Allah, in the dark of the night with the hope of being favored by HIM.

ﻲﹶﻘﺒﺗ ﻭ ﺕﻮﻤﻳ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﺱﺆﺑ ﺎﻳ .ٍﻞﺟﻭ ﻲﹶﻠﻋ ﺎﻴﻧﺪﻟﺍ ﻲِﻓ ﹶﻥﺎﻛ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

Narrated from his holiness, Hadrat Ali-Bin-Hussain, peace be upon him: “Blessed is he who lives in this world in a state of fear from God. (From

temptations of committing sin and from divine chastisment.)

Wretched is he who dies and leaves behind nothing but a record of sins.”

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻲﻠﻋ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ﻠﹾ ﻟِ ﺶﻠِﻤﻋ ﻭ ﺩﺎﻌﻤﹾﻟﺍ ﺮﹶﻛﹶﺫ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

His holiness, Hadrat Ali, peace be upon him said:

“Blessed is he who is conscious of the hereafter, and acts with the Day of

Reckoning in mind, and who suffices with the sufficient he gets and is thankful to God for what he gets.”

His holiness, Imam Sadiq, peace be upon said:

.ِﻪﻴﹶﻠﻋ ﺮﺒﺻ ﻢﺛﹸ ﻑﺎﻔﹶ ﻜﹶ ﻟﹾﺍ ﻕِﺯﺭ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﻃﹸ

 

“Blessed is he who has been bestowed with sufficient provender and is

content with his due.”

“There were two inscriptions on the finger-ring of Jesus’ Christ which read: Blessed is he, through whom God is remembered and doomed is one through

whom God is forgotten.”

“Blessed is he who direct his heart towards reflection in God and who engages his tongue in the remembrance of Allah.”

“Blessed is he who subdues his anger and ignores his carnal soul to remain safe from falling into oblivion.”

Tradition twenty-four:

 

It has been narrated from Imam Reza, peace be upon him, that: “The Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali said:

Blessed is he whose worship and prayer for God is genuine and from total

submission to HIM; And Blessed is he whose heart is pure from blemishes of

the eye and whose remembrance of Allah is not laxed for what his ears hear and whose heart is not sad at the blessing bestowed to else.”

ﻠﺼِﻟ ﺎﻬِﺑ ﻲﹶﻔﹶﻛ ﻭ ﹶﺓﻮﻬﺸﻟﺍ ِﺏﻮﻠﹸﻘﹸ ﻟﺍ ﰲ ﻉﺭﺰﺗ ﺎﻬﻧِﺎﹶﻓ ﹶﺓﺮﹶﻈﻨﻟﺍﻭ ﻢﻛﹸ ﺎﻳِﺍ

 

.ِﻪِﻨﻴﻋ ِﺮﹶﻈﻧ ﰲ ﻪﺒﻠﹾ ﹶﻗ ﹾﻞﻌﺠﻳ ﻢﻟﹶ ﻭ ِﻪِﺒﻠﹾ ﹶﻗ ﰲ ﻩﺮﺼﺑ ﹶﻞِﻌﺟ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

From Jesus Christ’s admonitions:

Shun from that ‘Look’ which incites lust in the hearts and brings about sin. Blessed is he whose sight is in his heart not the other way round. (Meaning,

to judge according to one’s reasoning not emotions.)

Tradition twenty-six:

 

Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said:

“Blessed is he who does not envy those wrong-doers who have been favored with earthly grandeur and majesty.

Indeed blessed is he who has desired the grandeur of the next world and strives for that aim. How grand is he who is not kept busy with false aspirations.”

“Blessed is he whose record of deeds to be reckoned on the Day of Judgment is undersigned:

“Rest assured that your sins are forgiven.”

Tradition twenty-eight:

 

It has been quoted from Imam Ali, peace be upon him, that:

“Blessed is he who seeks forgiveness from God for the sin committed of which no one knows. Verily, the state of seeking forgiveness after a sin has been committed is like pouring water over fire, extinguishing it.”

Tradition twenty-nine:

 

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said:

“O’ Ali! Know that blessed is the man whose face is favored by Allah’s attention. And indeed it is that face which cries for the sin, nobody except Allah is aware of.”

Tradition thirty:

 

؟ﺕﺍﺮﹶﻘﺤﻤﻟﹾﺍ ﺎﻣ ﻭ :ﺖﻠﹾ ﹸﻗ

 

.ﻚِﻟﹶﺫ ﺮﻴﹶﻏ ﱄ ﻦﻜﹸ ﻳ ﻢﻟﹶ ﹾﻥﺍِ ﱄ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ :ﹸﻝﻮﻘﹸ ﻴﻓﹶ ﺐِﻧﺬﹾ ﻳ ﹸﻞﺟﺮﻟﺍﹶ :ﻝﺎﻗ

 

His eminence Imam Sadiq peace be upon him said:

“Abstain from committing seemingly minor sins, for they will not be forgiven.”

The narrator says: I asked: “What are minor sins?”

The Imam answered:

“A man commits a sin and expresses pleasure in committing that sin.”

From admonitions of the Prophet of Islam, Peace be upon him and his pure

progeny: “Blessed is he whose transaction is clean and whose inner-nature tends to goodness and whose external appearance is decent and whose manners exhibit firmness, (away from extravagance).”

Tradition thirty-two:

 

.ِﻪِﺴﻔﹾ ﻧ ﻦﻣِ

 

ﺱﺎﻨﻟﺍ ﻒﺼﻧﹶﺍ ﻭ ِﻪِﻣﺎﻠﹶﻛﹶ

ﹶﻞﻀﹶﻔﻟﹾﺍ ﻚﺴﻣﹶﺍ

 

The Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and pure progeny, at the end of sermons delivered after the congregational prayers) say:

“Blessed is he whose manners are good and whose inner nature is pure and away from sin; he who gives in charity the surplus of his income but holds back his tongue from uttering indecent things and observes Justice and

middlemostness in dealing with people.”

The Holy Prophet of Islam, peace be upon d his progeny, said:

“Blessed is he who treats others good-naturally and assists them when he can and abstains from inflicting any harm on them.”

Tradition thirty-four:

 

His eminence, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, says:

ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

“Blessed is he who has a mind of his own (for this world and the next) and ponders deeply over matters (in order to keep him away from finding fault with people); and people are satisfied of him and who worships the Almighty God whole-heartedly.”

ﺤﹶﻛ ِﺱﺎﻨﻠِﻟ ﹶﻥﻮﻤﻜﹸ ﺤﻳ ﻭ ﻩﻮﻠﹸﺌِﺳ ﺍﺫﺍ ﻪﻧﻮﻟﹸﺬﹸ ﺒﻳ ﻭ ﻩﻮﻌﻤِ ﺳ ﺍﹶﺫِﺍ ﻖﺤﻟﹾﺍ ﹶﻥﻮﻠﹸﺒﻘﹾ ﻳ ﻦﻳﺬﻟﱠﹶﺍ

 

:ﹶﻝﺎﻘﹶ ﻓﹶ

 

Tradition thirty-five:

 

Messenger of Allah, peace be upon and his progeny, said:

 

.ِﺵﺮﻌﻟﹾﺍ ﱢﻞﻇِ

 

ﹶﱄِﺍ

 

ﻥﹶ ﻮﹸﻘِﺑﺎﺴﻟﺍ

 

“Those who overtake others in reaching the threshold of Allah’s dominion; Blessed they are.”

He was asked:

“O’ Messenger of Allah! And who are they?” The Prophet replied:

“Those who accept the right whenever they hear it and who show it whenever wanted of them. They judge themselves as they judge other people. These are people who haste towards the threshold of Allah’s dominion.”

:ﺪﻴﺣﻮﺘﻟﺍ ﺓﺭﻮﺳ ﻥﺄﺷ ﰲ ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﷲﺍ ﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ِﻪﻳﺪﻳ ِﻦﻴﺑ ﻦﻣِ

 

ﻪﻧﻮﻈﹸ ﻔﹶ ﺤﻳ ٍﻚﹶﻠﻣ ِﻒﻟﹾﹶﺍ ﹶﺔﹶﺋﺎﻣِ

 

ِﻪِﺑ ﱠﻞﺟ ﻭ ﺰَ ﻋ ُﷲﺍ ﻞُﱠ ﻛﹶ

 

ﻭ ﺎﹼﻟِﺍ ﺎﻫﹸﺃﺮﹾﻘﻳ ٍﺪﺣﹶﺍ ﻦﻣِ

 

ﺎﻣ ﻪﻧِﺎﹶﻓ ﺎﻌﺋِﺭِ ﺎﹶﻘِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻄﻓﹶ

 

Tradition thirty-six:

 

.ﻪﹶﻟ

 

ﻥﹶ ﻭﺮِﻔﻐﺘﺴﻳ ﻭ ِﻪِﻔﻠﹾ ﺧ ﻦﻣِ ﻭ

 

The Messenger of Allah, May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny, said the following concerning the holy verse; “say there is no God except Allah.”

“Blessed is the reciter of this verse. Allah, the Magnificent, the Glorious, appoints one hundred thousand angels to protect from ahead and aback he who

recites this verse. They will ask Allah for his forgiveness.”

 

(Al-Mujtani Min Ad-dua Al-Mujtaba, P. 26)

 

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﱠﻠﺻ ِﷲﺍ ِﻝﻮﺳﺭ ﹶﱄِﺍ ﹸﻞﻴﺋﺮﺒﺟ َﺀﺎﺟ

 

،(ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ)ﺪﻤﺤﻣ ﺎﻳ :ﹶﻝﺎﻘﹶﻓ

 

Tradition thirty-seven:

 

.ﹰﺎﺼﻠِﺨﻣ ﻩﺪﺣﻭ ُﷲﺍ ﺎﱠﻟِﺍ ﻪﹶﻟِﺍ ﺎﹶﻟ ﻚِﺘﻣﹸﺃ ﻦﻣِ

 

ﹶﻝﺎﻗﹶ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﰊﻮﻃﹸ

 

Gabriel came to the presence of the Messenger of Allah, May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny, and said:

“O’ Muhammed, Blessed is he among your Ummah (Islamic Nation) who

truthfully and genuinely says:

“There is no god but the one unique Allah.”

 

Explanation: To clarify the meaning of this tradition we resort to another which goes like this:

 

:ﻪﻟﺁ ﻭ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﷲﺍ ﻲﻠﺻ ﻲﺒِﻨﻟﺍ ﱢِﻦﻋ

 

.ﱠﻞﺟ ﻭ ﺰﻋ ُﷲﺍ ﻡﺮﺣ ﺎﻤﻋ ُﷲﺍ ﺎﱠﻟِﺍ ﻪﹶﻟِﺍ ﺎﹶﻟ ﻩﺰﺠﺤﺗ ﹾﻥﺍﹶ ﻪﺻﺎﻠﹶﺧﺍﻭ ﹶﺔﻨﺠﻟﹾﺍ ﹶﻞﺧﺩ ﹰﺎﺼﻠِﺨﻣ ُﷲﺍ ﺎﱠﻟِﺍ ﻪﹶﻟِﺍ ﺎﹶﻟ ﹶﻝﺎﻗﹶ ﻦﻣ

 

It has been narrated from the Messenger of Allah, May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, that he said:

“He who truthfully and out of sincere faith says: ‘There is no god except

Allah’, enters paradise. His truthful-ness is in abstaining from whatever Allah has forbidden.”

Tradition thirty-eight:

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻲﻠﻋ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

.ﺎﻬﺟﻭﺯ ﺎﻬﻨﻋ ﻲِﺿﺭ ٍﺓﹶﺃﺮﻣﺎﻟِ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ﻭ ﺎﻬﺟﻭﺯ ﺖﺒﻀﻏﹾ ﹶﺍ ٍﺓﹶﺃﺮﻣﺎﻟِ ﹲﻞﻳﻭ

 

His eminence, Imam Ali, peace be upon said:

“Doomed and cursed is the woman who angers her husband and blessed is the woman whose husband is satisfied with her.”

Tradition thirty-nine:

 

.ِﷲﺍ ﻲِﻓ ﻦﻴﺑﺎﺤﺘﻤﹾﻠِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ ،ﹰﺍﺮﹾﻔﻛﹸ

 

:ﻡﻼﺴﻟﺍ ﻪﻴﻠﻋ ﻕﺩﺎﺼﻟﺍ ﻝﺎﻗ

 

ِﷲﺍ ﹶﺔﻤﻌِﻧ ﹾﻝﺪﺒﻳ ﻢﻟﹶ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻃ

 

His eminence, Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, said:

“Blessed is he who is not guilty of ingratitude towards the blessings of Allah (especially the God-given blessing of Immamate and successor-ship of the Prophet’s household).

Blessed are they who love one another for the love of God.”

ﻭ ﻢﻬﺤﹶﻓﺎﺻ ﻦﻤِﻟ ﻲﺑﻮﹸﻄﻓﹶ

ﹸﻥﹶﺫﺄﻴِﻓﹶ

 

ِﻪِﺗﺭﺎﻳﺯِ

 

ﰲ َﷲﺍ

 

ﻥﹶ ﻮﻧِﺫﹾﺄﺘﺴﻳ ﲔﻴﺒﻨﻟﺍ ﺡﺍﻭﺭﺍﹶ

 

ﻭ ﹶﺔﹶﻜِﺋﺎﻠﹶﻤﻟﹾﺍ

 

ﻥﱠ ِﺎﹶﻓ ﹶﻥﹶﺎﺒﻌﺷ ﻦﻣِ

 

ُﷲﺍ ﻲﱠﻠﺻ ﺪﻤﺤﻣ ﻭ ﻲﺴﻴﻋﻭ ﻲﺳﻮﻣ ﻭ ﻢﻴﻫِ ﺍﺮﺑِﺍ ﻭ ﺡﻮﻧ

 

:ﲔﻠﺳﺮﻤﻟﹾﺍ ﻦِﻣ ِﻡﺰﻌﻟﺍ ﺍﻮﹸﻟﻭﹸﺍ ﹸﺔﺴﻤﺧ ﻢﻬﻨﻣِ

 

،ﻩﻮﺤﻓﹶﺎﺻ

 

Tradition forthy:

 

.ﲔﻌﻤﺟﺍﹶ ﻢِﻬﻴﹶﻠﻋ ﻭ ِﻪِﻟﺁ ﻭ ِﻪﻴﹶﻠﻋ

 

His eminence, Imam Ali-Bin-Hussein, be upon him, said:

“He who wishes to meet the one hundred and twenty four thousand Divine

Messengers, must pay a pilgrimage to the holy shrine of his eminence, Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on the night of fifteenth of Sh’aban. Verily! The angels and the spirits of the Messengers of God on this night ask permission from God to pay pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein. Truly blessed is he who manages to meet them. The five Prophets of the Book, too, are among the pilgrims: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammed, and peace be upon him and his pure progeny.”
